MEET THE COUNSELOR

I am Mrs. Flowers, and it is my privilege to serve as the school counselor at East Flora Elementary School. Since 2016, I have dedicated myself to addressing the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students, while also providing support to their families, enabling students to achieve their fullest potential.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Belhaven University, as well as a Master of Education in School Counseling and an Education Specialist degree both from Mississippi College. Additionally, I am a National Board-Certified Counselor and a National Board-Certified School Counselor.

PBIS AT EFE

At East Flora, we take pride in celebrating our students' achievements by establishing high expectations, guiding them towards goal attainment, recognizing their efforts, and providing rewards. We utilize ClassDojo to promote positive behavior across the school, complemented by the implementation of a clip chart for students in PreK through 2nd grade. Students who achieve 95% or higher on ClassDojo each month are rewarded in the classroom, while those who maintain this standard over each nine-week earn an opportunity to attend our PBIS Ultimate Jag Celebration.

Paw Praises are always up for grabs for students from school staff. At the end of each month, we roll out the red carpet for the top Paw Praise grabbers in each grade.
